Driving to College

Students parking at Callywith College will need a Parking Permit which can be applied for below.

Callywith College promotes the use of sustainable travel to get to your place of study. However, we recognise the fact that sometimes car travel is unavoidable. Carshare Cornwall provides a free service for passengers and drivers to link up and share car journeys. Click on the ‘cost calculator‘ on www.carsharecornwall.com to work out how much you could save.

Students parking at Callywith College will need a Parking Permit which can be applied for here.

Second year students can purchase an annual parking permit at a cost of £50, or from January 2026 for spring and summer terms at a cost of £40, or after Easter 2026 for the summer term only at a cost of £30.

Payments should be made via the College Online Shop. The option to purchase a pass will only appear once you have submitted this form and you have received confirmation that your documentation has been validated. Once paid your parking permit can be collected from Temple Reception.

Please note, parking permits will only be issued for one of the following reasons:

- You are a blue badge holder and need to use reserved parking close to the building (please note a pass must still be purchased and the badge displayed at all times).
- You are the Primary Carer for a member of your family (son/daughter/sibling/parent). Please send confirmation note of relationship.
- You have work commitments straight before or after college. Please attach confirmation of work hours from your employer on headed paper, and work address.
- You have a medical condition that prevents easy use of public transport (as already notified to Learning Support/Student Services).
- There is no access to a suitable bus stop within 5 miles of your home address. Please attach a postcode map of your address from google maps.
- You have posted an advert for car-share and will be bringing students with you (at least one additional student per day). Please send evidence of advert and confirmation email from students who will be sharing.

To apply for a permit, students will need to provide copies of their driver's licence and insurance and are issued on a case-by-case basis.
