Our Domestic Services team is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Bank Team Members to help keep our college clean, safe and welcoming throughout the year.
This is a great opportunity if you want occasional, ad hoc hours without the commitment of a regular schedule. However, hours would normally be worked between 4.30 pm - 9.00 pm, during the working week (Monday to Friday).
About the Role
As part of our friendly Domestic Services team, you’ll help maintain the existing high standards of cleanliness across the college. Your work will support a positive environment for students and staff, contributing directly to their wellbeing and experience in college.
Role Profile
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, vacuuming and polishing in our classrooms, labs, offices and art rooms throughout the college
- Emptying bins and replenishing cleaning supplies
- Ensuring equipment is used safely and correctly (including following COSHH guidelines)
- Reporting any maintenance issues
- Being flexible with tasks and working patterns
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, proactive and takes pride in their work
- Can work well both independently and as part of a team
- Has good attention to detail
- Can manage their time effectively
- Has previous cleaning experience (ideally in a school, hospital or commercial environment)
- Understands basic health and safety requirements, COSHH and safe lifting
- Can use or is willing to learn how to use powered cleaning equipment
- Is able to work varying hours throughout the year
