We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated and supportive team at Callywith College. This role is incredibly rewarding and plays a vital part in shaping the experience, confidence and outcomes of some of our most vulnerable students.

Role Profile

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting students in lessons, small groups or individually
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning
  • Helping students access learning materials and specialist equipment
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider support team
  • Supporting students during trips, enrichment activities and (occasionally) residentials
  • Providing personal care support where required (training provided)


Who we’re looking for

This role would suit:

  • Experienced Teaching Assistants or LSAs currently working in schools or colleges
  • Career changers or individuals new to the sector who are eager to learn and make a difference

We value attitude, empathy and commitment just as much as experience.

You’ll be:

  • Friendly, patient and understanding
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to students’ changing needs
  • Confident using basic IT and happy to undertake training
  • You’ll ideally have English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent). Experience supporting students with additional needs is welcome, but not essential, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
