Level 2 English & Maths with Health & Social Care Pathway

This course builds a strong foundation in health and social care, helping you understand how to support children and adults safely and professionally. It develops key knowledge and practical skills needed for care and educational settings. Studying this course at Level 2 also prepares you for further study, especially Level 3. Most importantly, it opens pathways to careers in healthcare, support work, and wider caring professions.

Along with studying GCSE Maths and English you will develop a broad understanding of health and social care, including human growth and development, equality and diversity, and safeguarding. You will learn how individuals develop across the lifespan, how to support people fairly and respectfully, and how to recognise and respond to concerns about safety and wellbeing. Alongside this, you will complete practical coursework and gain experience through work placement, helping you apply your learning in real-world settings.

You could progress on to Level 3 courses such as Health and Social Care, including options such as Early Childhood Development or T Level Education and Early Years. In the future, this could lead to careers in areas such as healthcare support, early years, or wider caring professions, as well as apprenticeships within the sector.

Entry requirements for this course are a minimum of three GCSEs at grade 3, including English and Maths and another subject at grade 4.
