The Rugby Academy caters for a range of abilities, providing the opportunity to play in all formats of the game including touch, 7’s, 10’s and 15 a side.
Players will have up to five hours per week of rugby related activities, which will include coaching sessions, video analysis, fitness sessions, weight training and competitive matches on a Wednesday afternoon. The College expects to enter the Association of Colleges South West league and cup competitions, as well as local county and regional tournaments and friendly fixtures. There may also be the opportunity to travel further afield to national competitions like the National Schools 7’s at Rosslyn Park. Players will also be given the chance to develop leadership, coaching and officiating skills through additional qualifications and experience in local schools and clubs.
