Transport & Bursaries

Callywith College works in partnership with Cornwall Council and Sustrans (the UK’s sustainable transport charity) to promote active, sustainable travel to college and to reduce congestion. Choosing to travel on foot or by bicycle reduces air pollution and traffic congestion, whilst saving you money and keeping you fit. Using the college’s bus network or public transport also helps reduce your carbon footprint, so check out your travel options below and play your part in making Bodmin a better place to study.

Important Dates

Callywith College Bus Network (run by Stagecoach South West)

We are currently developing our bus network for the 2026/27 academic year and timetables and maps will be available from mid May 2026.

Buses are a great, environmentally friendly way to get to college, especially with the launch of the first electric buses in Cornwall in summer 2025.

Callywith College continues its partnership with Stagecoach South West and RideTandem, with students and parents using the RideTandem app for all transport ticketing and travel management.

Through the RideTandem app, you can:

  • Purchase your bus ticket.
  • Access your digital pass to scan on and off buses.
  • Manage travel details and receive service updates including adverse weather announcements.
  • Track your bus with enhanced real time map data.
  • Parent/guardian notifications of when their child boards the bus and when the bus arrives at college, for added peace of mind.

The Callywith College bus pass provides travel on your nominated routes into and out of college at the beginning and end of the day, and now to a number of major Cornish towns at lunchtime.

Bus Timetables

The 2025-26 timetables, which were updated  5th January 2026 can be found here.

Further information regarding 25-26 bus routes and numbers are available on the RideTandem page here.

The new 26-27 timetables and bus routes will be available from the middle of May and links will be amended to reflect this.

Bus Pass Payments Using RideTandem App

Students and parents will need to download the RideTandem app to access college transport ticketing and travel information. The RideTandem app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Passes will be available to purchase on the app from Monday 18th May 2026.

Please read the Terms and Conditions of Purchase, purchasing a pass through the RideTandem app constitutes acceptance of these terms.

If a student regularly needs to use two different college bus routes due to shared living arrangements, please purchase a pass for one route, and then contact us at transport@callywith.ac.uk

Bus passes are not normally refundable (please refer to Terms and Conditions), however, if a student does not enrol at the start of term or leaves before 18th September 2026 we will process a full refund for the bus pass – please complete the following Microsoft Form.
